Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 1st June 2024

1. Interpretation & Scope


1.1 These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all services provided by Jetstream Powerwash ("we", "us", "our") to any individual or entity ("you", "your", “the Client”) who engages our services.


1.2 By accepting a quotation, booking our services, or permitting work to commence, you confirm your full agreement to these Terms.


1.3 These Terms supersede any prior communications and may be updated periodically. The latest version will be available via our website or provided upon request.


2. Quotations


2.1 All quotations issued are valid for a period of 30 calendar days from the date of issue.
2.2 Quotations are based on a visual inspection or the information you provide. They exclude any hidden defects or unforeseen complications, which may incur additional charges.


2.3 Once a quote is agreed in writing, pricing is fixed and inclusive of labour, equipment, and standard materials, unless otherwise stated.​

​2.4 Jetstream Powerwash is not currently VAT-registered; no VAT is charged on our services.

3. Booking & Site Access


3.1 You are responsible for ensuring clear, unobstructed, and safe access to the site, including access to mains water and electrical power where required.


3.2 Adequate nearby parking must be provided. Any parking fines or delays caused by lack of parking  access will be chargeable to the client.


3.3 If we are unable to carry out the work due to insufficient access, a wasted visit charge of £50 will apply.


3.4 Our minimum charge per site visit is £150.00


4. Drainage & Chemical Application


4.1 Only industry-approved cleaning agents and biocides are used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and relevant safety data sheets.


4.2 Where chemical or biocide application is required, run-off must be directed into foul drainage systems. You are responsible for confirming the drainage type at your premises.


4.3 Where necessary, we may block or redirect drainage to ensure compliance with environmental standards; additional costs may apply.

4.4 The performance of biocide treatments depends on several factors including weather, surface condition, and effective drainage.


5. Surface Conditions & Cleaning Limitations


5.1 You acknowledge that cleaning treatments, particularly pressure washing or chemical softwashing, may reveal or exacerbate pre-existing conditions such as:
â—¦ Loose mortar or render
â—¦ Surface deterioration
â—¦ Efflorescence or staining
â—¦ Damaged seals or drainage faults


5.2 Organic staining may take up to 7 days to visibly diminish posttreatment.


5.3 While we aim for optimal results, complete removal of certain contaminants (e.g. oil, rust, black spot) may not be achievable without further specialist treatment, which may incur extra cost.


5.4 Fragile, painted, porous, or otherwise delicate surfaces are cleaned entirely at your own risk.


6. Liability & Insurance


6.1 Jetstream Powerwash maintains Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million.


6.2 You are responsible for:
â—¦ Protecting soft landscaping, paintwork, or any vulnerable
surfaces not directly involved in our work
â—¦ Isolating and securing external power points or electrical
fixtures
â—¦ Moving garden furniture, bins, vehicles, or valuables prior to
our arrival

6.3 We are not liable for:
â—¦ Structural or material defects existing prior to our work
â—¦ Damage caused by unsafe or unsuitable water/power supply
â—¦ Delays caused by third-party contractors, suppliers, or access
issues outside our control

7. Payment Terms


7.1 Domestic clients must pay in full upon job completion by bank transfer or debit/credit card.


7.2 Commercial clients are offered 14-day payment terms unless otherwise agreed in writing.


7.3 Late payments exceeding 30 days will incur a 5% administrative surcharge and may be escalated via  debt recovery or small claims proceedings.


7.4 Deposits may be required for bookings involving significant material purchases or equipment hire.


7.5 For larger commercial clients or public bodies, alternative payment terms (e.g. 30 or 60 days) may be agreed in writing prior to commencement of work.

8. Cancellation & Rescheduling


8.1 A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or amend a confirmed booking.


8.2 Same-day cancellations, missed appointments, or denied access on arrival may be charged up to       100% of the quoted price.


8.3 We reserve the right to postpone or reschedule works due to severe weather, safety concerns, or logistical delays. Alternative dates will be offered promptly.


9. Workmanship Guarantee & Reworks


9.1 Cleaning results depend on environmental and surface variables. No absolute outcome can be guaranteed.


9.2 Any concerns regarding the quality of our work must be raised in writing within 48 hours of completion.


9.3 We will revisit at our discretion to resolve genuine workmanship issues attributable to our negligence

or error.


9.4 Follow-up treatments, additional cleans, or requests outside the original scope may be chargeable.


10. Health, Safety & Compliance


10.1 Jetstream Powerwash adheres to current UK Health & Safety
legislation, including the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
(COSHH), Working at Height Regulations, and PPE standards.

10.2 Relevant documentation including RAMS (Risk Assessments and
Method Statements), insurance, and COSHH sheets are available upon request.


10.3 You must inform us of any known hazards including:
â—¦ Fragile roofs
â—¦ Unsafe structures
â—¦ Asbestos
â—¦ Restricted site access hours


Failure to do so may result in service refusal or added
charges.


11. Commercial Premises & Contractor Liaison


11.1 For commercial sites, the Client is responsible for:
â—¦ Arranging access and security clearance
â—¦ Providing required site inductions
â—¦ Securing permits (e.g. scaffold, MEWP, parking)


11.2 Charges may apply for delays caused by inadequate site preparation or restricted access.


11.3 Communication with third-party contractors must be preapproved and may be subject to additional fees.

12. Use of Client-Supplied Equipment


12.1 Where we use client-supplied infrastructure (e.g. MEWP, water supply, generators), you warrant that such equipment is in safe,working condition and suitable for the task.

12.2 Jetstream Powerwash accepts no liability for failure, damage, or delay caused by faulty, unavailable, or inadequate client-supplied resources.


12.3 You are also responsible for:
• Ensuring drainage is functional
• Ensuring external water/power is accessible and safe
• Arranging site keys or codes in advance


13. Right to Refuse Service


We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services without liability if:
• The site presents an immediate health or safety risk
• We are subject to abuse, intimidation, or aggressive conduct
• Environmental laws or drainage regulations would be breached by proceeding
In such cases, reasonable costs incurred may still be invoiced.

14. Photography, Media & Marketing


14.1 We routinely capture before-and-after images/videos as part of our quality assurance.


14.2 These may be used for marketing or training purposes unless you expressly object in writing before commencement of work.


14.3 No personal information, property addresses, or identifiable client data will be shared publicly.

15. Intellectual Property


15.1 All content, images, branding, and written materials created by Jetstream Powerwash remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.


15.2 You may not reproduce, use, or distribute our logos, branded content, or images without our express permission.


16. Legal Jurisdiction


16.1 These Terms are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales.


16.2 Any legal disputes or claims shall be brought before the courts of England and Wales.


16.3 These Terms do not affect your statutory consumer rights under UK law.


17. Force Majeure


17.1 We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to extreme
weather, acts of God, government restrictions, pandemics, industrial
disputes, or equipment failure.

17.2 In such cases, we will notify you promptly and reschedule the services at the earliest available date.


18. Confidentiality


We shall not disclose or misuse any confidential information, trade secrets, or proprietary details we may come across while carrying out work on your premises.


19. Environmental Compliance


Waste resulting from our work remains your responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing. We comply with all relevant environmental regulations for chemical use, disposal, and pollution prevention.
