Why Are Your Windows Left Wet After a Water-Fed Pole Clean?

If you've had your windows cleaned with a water-fed pole, you may have noticed they're left wet. Here's why, and why it works.

How a water-fed pole works

A water-fed pole washes and rinses your windows from the ground, using purified water and a soft brush. Frames, sills and doors are cleaned too, and upper-floor windows we can safely reach are cleaned too.

Why the windows are left wet

The pole rinses with purified water, which contains almost nothing that can leave marks. It dries on its own, without us wiping the glass with a cloth or squeegee. That's why the windows are left wet, and why they dry spotless.

Why purified water gives a spotless finish

Ordinary tap water contains minerals that leave spots as it dries. Purified water doesn't, so as it dries it takes nothing with it and leaves the glass clear.

Rain, weather and access

Light rain doesn't stop us. If conditions aren't right for a proper clean, we'll get in touch and rearrange. For gates, locked access or pets, tell us and we'll plan around it.

Regular rounds

We clean on a regular round every 4 or 8 weeks, or as a one-off clean whenever you need one, and we can add inside cleaning for the complete finish. See our window cleaning page.
